Poem: Woke

WOKE

A new word's now in our lexicon

It gives away the side your on

Perhaps you think this is progress

Or maybe it just causes stress

What's really causing this tumult

The word gets used as an insult

They say it is a rainbow word

But that assertion is absurd

The internet's our public square

Anonymous so you don't care

A place where Haters pile on

Transwomen branded 'devil's spawn'

Free speech gets used to justify

Your rhetoric just makes me cry

Transgender girls now used as bait

We're poster children for their hate

You insult all gender diverse

By saying our lifestyle's perverse

When your intention's to harass

It shows a complete lack of class

Then recently I had some prick

Say: I'm a "modern-day eunuch"

"Your body's yours to mutilate"

"Or did you chemically castrate?"

Said "Trans rights target our children"

"Don't agree? Your skin's too thin"

Our lives are treated as a joke

Say it again, I hope you choke

You cannot take bigotry back

Those insults felt just like a smack

The time has come to realize

Before another Transgirl dies

Thru evil that you work to spread

How many more will end up dead?

If people thought before they spoke

They'd see the problems caused by the word...

WOKE!
