LIKE HOLLOW ECHOES
Finding my way thru the darkness
A headlong rush to the precipice
Desperately seeking the switch
To throw light upon their graves
Finding meaning in Trans martyrdom
A lie people dont want to see
The moral power of resistance
Engenders their hatred more
This is the fire within me
Ripping away the blinders
Of the privilege they bestow
Upon the hearth of viciousness
And the violence that enslaves us
Where is the decency of the machine
That claims to drive us all
The violation of those tenants
The lessons Stonewall claimed
Yet lost to our generation
Like hollow echoes faded into nothingness.
And I ask you, must I stand alone?
