CLAIM YOUR WORTH
When you step out of the closet
And embrace all that you are
There's a bunch of problems that arise
Identity and privacy fall under scrutiny
This is who I am, not a disguise
You need ID that shows the name
And gender that reflects
The truth of how you live life day-to-day
Without it, you can't travel, get a job or bank account
I'm not just some character that I portray
Gender incongruencies
Exposing us to harm
Surgical requirements discriminate
Invasive and traumatic forcing us to show the proof
How dare you make my genitals public debate
We're living in a Cis-tem
That's set up to tear you down
Assigning you your destiny at birth
Being who you are is something they can't take away
You dont show an ID card to claim your worth.
